Accessibility statement
This statement applies to the “Millennium Tower to go” web app of Elbauenpark Magdeburg. Everyone should be able to use this app — whatever their abilities.
Conformance status
The app is built to meet EU Directive 2016/2102 and the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG). Every page is checked automatically for alternative texts, labels, heading order and language markup.
What helps you use it
- Text size up to 130 percent in the menu — everything scales.
- Easy German as a language in its own right, not a shortened copy.
- Fully keyboard operable, with a skip link straight to the content.
- Images carry alternative texts; audio complements the texts, it does not replace them.
- Clear contrast — in dark mode too.
Known limitations
The 360-degree views are a visual feature. The content behind them is available as text and audio at every exhibit. Some texts are not yet available in all three languages; those appear in German and are marked as such where they occur.
The tower itself
This statement covers the app. About the building: with a wheelchair or a pram, the Millennium Tower can only be visited on the lower level, the domed hall. The upper levels are reached by stairs, and for safety reasons the outdoor ramp must not be used with a wheelchair or a pram. That is why the content of the upper levels is in this app — as text, images and audio, and as 360-degree views that bring the outlook from the top down to you. For questions about wheelchair access, toilets and companions, please contact the Elbauenpark directly — their information is current, this page would not be.
Report a barrier
Did you hit a barrier? Write to the museum using the feedback form on the “Plan your visit” page — the link is just below. At a single exhibit you can also use its question feature. Or talk to the team in the tower.
Enforcement procedure
If a report does not get a satisfactory answer, you can contact the enforcement body of the state of Saxony-Anhalt.
